The main football club from the English city of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire has been in existence since 1863. This makes it one of the oldest still active football teams in the world. It plays its home games at the Britannia Stadium, which for sponsorship reasons is now called the bet365 Stadium. More than 30,000 fans can enjoy the team's performances here.
Throughout its long history, Stoke City FC has played in the Premier League and even in the modern era of the Premier League. However, they have never looked at the top ranks here. Overall, this is a team that has not won many trophies. So far the only significant one in their possession is the League Cup from the 1971/1972 season, back then they managed to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the final. Another cup success is the FA Cup final from the 2010/2011 season, which Manchester City eventually won 1-0.
