This football team is nicknamed The Robbins and the club colours are red and white. These are of course also found on the home jerseys, where red is the jersey itself and white is the shorts. This colour combination is also honoured by the club crest complete with gold detailing. The team plays its home games at the County Ground, which has a capacity for 15,728 people. The English club was founded in 1879 in the town of Swindon in the metropolitan county of Wiltshire.
The current home of the club is League Two, the fourth highest level of English football. The club's greatest successes came between 1968 and 1970, when it first defeated Arsenal in the League Cup final in the 1968/69 season. In the same season, it managed to defeat AS Roma 4-0 in the Anglo-Italian Cup final and a season later it defeated another big name, Napoli, 3-0 in the same cup. This time, however, it was after a premature end to the final with the Neapolitan fans rioting and taking the score hard.
