Uniao da Madeira

União da Madeira, officially known as Clube de Futebol União, is a Portuguese football club based in the island of Madeira. Founded on November 1, 1913, the team has a rich history and is one of the island's most prominent clubs.

União da Madeira traditionally plays their home matches at the Estádio do Centro Desportivo da Madeira, located in Ribeira Brava. The stadium, although modest in size compared to some continental counterparts, possesses a unique charm due to its scenic setting surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Madeira.

The team's colors are blue and yellow, which adorn their jerseys. Over the years, União da Madeira has spent several seasons in the top flight of Portuguese football, the Primeira Liga. However, they have often faced the challenges that come with being a smaller club, including relegation to lower divisions.

Despite fluctuating fortunes in the league, União da Madeira maintains a passionate fan base and serves as a vital pillar in the local community. The club’s youth academy also takes pride in developing local talent and providing opportunities for young players to shine on the football stage.

While União da Madeira may not boast the same resources or illustrious trophy cabinets as the giants of Portuguese football, the dedication of its players, staff, and fans exemplify the spirit and resilience of the beautiful game on the island of Madeira.
