US Créteil, officially known as Union Sportive Créteil-Lusitanos, is a French football club based in Créteil, a suburb of Paris. The club was founded in 1936 and traditionally wears blue and yellow colors. They play their home matches at the Stade Dominique Duvauchelle, which has a capacity to host several thousand spectators.
Créteil has fluctuated between the lower tiers of French football, experiencing occasional promotions to higher divisions. Their most notable achievements include playing in Ligue 2, the second division of French football, although they have never been part of the top-flight Ligue 1.
The club is known for its development of young players, having a decent youth academy that nurtures talent from the local area and beyond. While they may not be as financially powerful or globally renowned as some of their Parisian neighbors, US Créteil holds a proud position within the community and offers competitive football for its dedicated supporters. As of my knowledge cutoff date in 2023, they are competing in the Championnat National, which is the third tier of French football.
