This Greek football team is nicknamed Vasílissa tou Vorrá (Queen of the North) or Rossoblu (Blue-Red). Thus, their club colours are of course blue and red, playing at home in grey jerseys with sleeve detailing in the club colours and away in a predominantly dark blue with gold highlights. Their home stadium is the Veria Stadium, which offers a capacity of 7,000 seats. The football club was founded in 1960, in the town of Veria in northern Greece.
The club currently plays in the Fotball League, which is the third highest professional football competition in Greece. In this competition, the club managed to finish in the highest position in 1966, 1970 and 1977. It last fought its way up to the Fotball League from Fotball League 2 in 2019, and so recently celebrated its return here after almost a decade of operating one level lower. They have never played football at the highest level in Greece and so are a club of rather regional importance.
