Weston-super-Mare AFC

Weston-super-Mare Association Football Club, commonly known as Weston-super-Mare AFC or The Seagulls, is an English semi-professional football club based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England. Founded in 1948, the team competes in the Southern League Premier Division South, which is the seventh tier of English football.

The club plays its home matches at the Optima Stadium, formerly known as Woodspring Stadium, which has a capacity of around 3,500 with 2,000 seats. The team's colors are traditionally blue and white. Weston-super-Mare AFC has a local rivalry with nearby teams such as Clevedon Town and Taunton Town.

Throughout its history, Weston-super-Mare AFC has predominantly played in the lower levels of the English football league system. While they have not yet reached the upper echelons of the sport, they remain an integral part of the local community, with a loyal base of supporters.

The club has also participated in the FA Cup and FA Trophy competitions. Although it has not clinched major honors at the national level, Weston-super-Mare AFC continues to strive for success on the pitch while fostering talent and promoting football within the region.
