FC Ingolstadt 04, commonly referred to as "The Schanzer," is a professional football club based in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. Founded on February 5, 2004, through the merger of ESV Ingolstadt and MTV Ingolstadt, the club has quickly established itself in German football.
