The traditional French football team was founded in 1913, still under the name USVA (Union Sportive de Valenciennes Anzin) and currently plays in Ligue 2, the second highest French competition. Since 2011, it has played at the Stade du Hainaut, which can accommodate twenty-five thousand spectators. Four decades in the first French league, but also a final appearance in the French National Cup in 1951, the last one in history so far - these are Valenciennes FC's greatest achievements.
More about Valenciennes FCYou may have previously known this club as Évian Thonon Gaillard FC. The club's nicknames include Les Croix de Savoie, Les Roses or simply the abbreviation Evian. The nicknames suggest that their club colour is pink, which is combined with white on their jerseys. Although these colours no longer appear in their crest, here again we find the Savoy Cross. The club operates out of the Parc des Sports stadium, which has a capacity of 15 660 seats.
