Apollon Smyrnis F.C. is a Greek professional football club based in Rizoupoli, Athens, Greece. The team was founded in Smyrna (today's İzmir, Turkey) in 1891 but was relocated to Athens after the Greco-Turkish War and the subsequent population exchange between Greece and Turkey. Apollon Smyrnis is one of the oldest football clubs in Greece, with a history that includes both triumphs and hardships.

It is found in combination with white on the jerseys, with the home jerseys being predominantly white and the away jerseys being predominantly purple. Alternatively, they use dark blue as a third colour. They are at home at the AEL FC Arena, which has a capacity of 16,118 seats. The Greek Athletic Union Football Club of Larisa was therefore founded, of course, in the Greek town of Larisa, in 1964, the year to which the club also refers in its name.
