The Spanish team Real Club Deportivo Mallorca, from the port city of Palma, has been playing football since 1916. Interestingly, it is the oldest football team in the Balearic Islands. In its more than a century of existence, it has also won a number of successes, the biggest being the 2003 Copa del Rey and before that the 1998 Spanish Super Cup triumph.

The nicknames are Periquitos, Blanquiazules (white and blue) and Mágico (magical). The club plays at the RCDE stadium, which is also known as Estadi Cornellà-El Prat. It has a capacity of 40,500 seats and is a modern stadium that opened in 2009.
