In a gripping La Liga match on November 6, 2022, Real Sociedad faced off against Valencia CF in a game filled with drama and suspense. Early on in the clash, Real Sociedad's Diego Rico received a yellow card in just the 8th minute, hinting at the intense nature of the match to come.

Within two minutes of Rico's booking, misfortune struck for Valencia as Hugo Guillamón scored an own goal, inadvertently giving Real Sociedad the lead. The situation escalated for the home team when Aritz Elustondo was shown a yellow card merely five minutes later, which was subsequently upgraded to a red card in the 17th minute, leaving Real Sociedad with ten men for the majority of the game.

Valencia took advantage of their numeric superiority when Samuel Lino netted a goal in the 25th minute, bringing the score level. Adjustments were made by Valencia as Gabriel Paulista came on as Substitution 1 at the 29-minute mark.

In response to the dynamic of the match, Real Sociedad made a triple substitution at the beginning of the second half, bringing on Brais Méndez, Carlos Fernández, and Illarramendi in an attempt to revitalize their formation.

The tactical changes continued for Valencia as well with Hugo Guillamón being replaced in the 62nd minute, alongside Marcos André coming in as Substitution 3. The final stretch of the game saw further adjustments with Y. Musah and J. Kluivert making appearances as Substitution 4 and 5 respectively for Valencia.

Real Sociedad's final substitution saw Mikel Merino entering the fray in the 82nd minute in hopes of securing a positive result for the home side. However, despite the numerous changes and efforts from both teams, the match edged towards its conclusion without any additional alterations to the scoreboard.

Just before the final whistle, Martín Zubimendi of Real Sociedad was booked with a yellow card, capping off a match that was as much about the struggle between the players as it was about the battle on the scoreline. The draw left fans on both sides yearning for more as each team walked away with a single point from the encounter.
