CD Lugo, short for Club Deportivo Lugo, is a Spanish football team based in Lugo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded on June 16, 1953, they traditionally play in a red and white-striped kit. The team's home ground is the Estadio Anxo Carro, which has a capacity of approximately 7,200 seats.
More about CD LugoSpanish team Sporting de Gijón was founded in 1905. One interesting fact is that their stadium, Estadio El Molinón, is the oldest ever in Spain where professional football is played. Opened in 1908, it can offer a sporting spectacle to more than 29,000 spectators. Although they have played in the first league, they have not been able to win many trophies. Their greatest achievements are a second place finish in the top flight from the 1978/1979 season and a double final appearance in the prestigious Copa del Rey in 1981 and 1982.
