They are nicknamed The Toffies, The Blues and are also known as The People's Club. The fans are known as Evertonians. The club colours are royal blue and white. It is one of the two famous clubs in Liverpool and is one of the more unsuccessful clubs in England. But its founders originally chose the name Sunderland & District Teachers AFC, but the change happened very quickly, as the team got its current name two years later. It plays its home games at the Stadium of Light, which boasts a very decent capacity of 49,000 spectators.
