Maidstone United FC

Their nickname is The Stones and their club colours are yellow and black. Outdoors they play in a combination of white and black. The original club was founded in 1897, but went bust in 1992 after the club was unable to financially manage in the Football League Fourth Division (the predecessor of the current League Two) and ceased operations there after three seasons. It should be added that they reached this fourth highest competition in English football by direct promotion from the Conference National, only the 3rd club in history.
