The Olympisch Stadion, with a total capacity of 12 771 seats, was a shrine to this Belgian football team. The club originated in the important port city of Antwerp, where it was founded in 1920 after the merger of a pair of local teams, KFC Germinal Ekeren and K. Beerschot VAC.
More about Beerschot ACThe nicknames of this Belgian football club are Les Carolos or Les Zèbres (the zebras). The latter nickname was earned primarily in reference to their black and white striped jerseys. You will find vertical stripes on them, and they use these jerseys for home matches. Outdoors, they then play in pink. At home they are at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi, which has a capacity of 25,000. The club was founded back in 1904, in the city of the same name, Charleroi.
