Chesterfield Football Club, commonly known as the Spireites due to the distinctive 'crooked spire' of St Mary and All Saints Church in the town, is a professional football team based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. Founded in 1866, the club has a storied history and plays its home matches at the Technique Stadium, which opened in 2010.
More about Chesterfield FCThe club is called Red Dragons and it is not hard to guess the club colours, which include red of course, but also white. The home jerseys honour these colours as well, with the away game being played in a combination of white and black. Home games are played at the Racecourse Ground, which seats 10,771 spectators. The Welsh side was founded in 1864, then under the name Wrexham Town FC. The team is therefore from the town of Wrexham in the ceremonial county of Clwyd. In 1880 it was renamed Wrexham FC and in 2006 it was re-established as Wrexham AFC after its demise.
