New York City FC
The American football team New York City FC is one of the younger ones, having been founded in 2013. They first played in Major League Soccer in 2015, joining the top North American competition as the 20th team. For their home games, they use the famous Yankee Stadium, where one of the most famous teams, the New York Yankees, plays baseball.

Arguably the most famous MLS team outside the US, it is one of the ten founding teams of the league. Los Angeles Galaxy are based in Carson, where they have a 27,000-seat stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park. The team has become very famous outside of the US borders with a number of big soccer stars transferring to the team.
