Olympiacos Piraeus, or Olympiakos Syndesmos Filathlon Peiraios, is a team from the port city of Piraeus. It is the most successful club in Greek history. And as it happens, the successful ones also have a lot of fans, which is also true here. According to various polls, this is the most popular football club in Greece. Their home stadium, the Karaiskakis Stadium, has a capacity of over 32,000 spectators.
More about Olympiacos PiraeusThe Akrites, or "Borderers", is the name of the team that was formed in the eastern Greek town of Xanthi in 1967. AO Xanthi or Xanthi F.C. plays its home matches at the Xanthi FC Arena with a capacity of 7,244 spectators (on the occasion of its opening in 2005 we could see the legendary Pelé), first looked at the first league in 1989 and several times played in the Europa League or UEFA Cup, where, however, did not go past the first round - in 2002 it was stopped by Lazio, three years later by England's Middlesbrough.
