This Dutch football club has several nicknames. They are called the pearl of the south, the yellow army or the rats. Their club colours are yellow and black, which adorn both the club crest and the team jerseys. They play in combinations of these colors both home and away. The Rats nickname is easily understood due to the name of their stadium, which is called Rat Verlegh Stadium and has a capacity of 19,000 seats. The club was founded in 1912 in the city of Breda by the merger of AVENDO and NOAD, which gave rise to the current abbreviation NAC (NOAD ADVENDO Combinatie).

They haven't achieved any significant success in the top league yet. Their fondest memories are undoubtedly of their six titles in the second Dutch league Eerste Divisie.
