Denizlispor
Turkish football team Denizlispor, based in Denizli, was founded in 1966. They alternate between the first and second league. They also looked to the Europa League in 2002 where they managed to knock out though FC Lorient, Sparta Prague and Olympique Lyon before falling out in the 4th round to Portuguese club FC Porto, who eventually won the entire tournament. Their home stadium Denizli Atatürk Stadium has a capacity of over 18 000 football fans.

The club's nicknames include Gençler (young men) or Ankara Rüzgârı (wind of Ankara). This, of course, gives a clue that this is a club that was founded in the capital city of Ankara. It happened in 1923. Their home stadium is the Eryaman Stadium, which has a capacity of equal 22,000 spectators. The predominant club colours are red and black. The home jerseys have black vertical stripes along with black shorts. The away jersey is predominantly red, alternatively white.
