The German football club uses blue and white as its team colours. The club was founded in 1946 as SG Aue in the town of Aue-Bad Schlema in the Federal Republic of Saxony. Since then it has changed its name many times, first in 1948 to BSG Pneumatik Aue and during the GDR era it was also called SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt. It has been under its current name since 1993.
