The Novara Calcio football club was founded by a group of students in 1908 as the Football Association Studenti Novara. They play their home games at the Stadio Silvio Piola, named after one of the team's legends, which can hold over 17,000 fans. They have experience in the first league, having played Serie A for the last time so far in the 2011/2012 season.

Their home is Juventus Stadium, which is currently called Allianz Stadium for sponsorship reasons. It is a modern stadium that was built in 2011 and has a capacity of 41,507 seats. Until then, the club played at the former Stadio delle Alpi.
