Their main rival is Dundee United, who have a stadium only 300 yards away and also currently play in the lower league. The team colours are dark blue and white.

The club is based in Paisley and is nicknamed The Buddies or The Saints. They are at home at St. Mirren Park, which holds 7,937 people. Their main rivals are of course their nearest neighbours, Greenock Morton, who currently play in the second highest competition. The rivalry between the fans is quite strong and visible.
