Saudi Arabia's football team has a proper exotic nickname because they are called the Sons of the Desert. They represent their country at international events, which include, of course, the World Cup, but also the lesser-known Asian Football Championship. This team won the Asian Football Championship 3 times, in 1984, 1988 and 1996. The second place belongs to them in 1992, 2000 and 2007.
More about Saudi ArabiaMexican national football team is historically the most successful national team in the CONCACAF region and thus in the Americas and the Caribbean. They are a regular participant in the World Cup, where their high point is the quarterfinals of 1970 and 1986.
