New England Revolution soccer team from Foxborough, just outside Boston, has been playing the unpopular ball sport since 1994. And since 1996, it's been one of the ten founding teams of Major League Soccer. Their Gillette Stadium has a capacity of about 20,000 fans for soccer, but this can be increased significantly if needed, as it otherwise holds upwards of 65,000 spectators for American football games.

American football team Los Angeles FC has been in existence since 2014 and played their first match in the prestigious Major League Soccer for the first time in 2018.
