The Italian football team Ascoli Calcio 1898 FC was formed in 1898. In the 2013/2014 season, the team was caught up in financial difficulties, went bankrupt and was subsequently re-established. They play their home games at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca with the ability to offer a sporting spectacle to over 12,000 spectators.

FC Crotone
FC Crotone has been in existence since 1910. Their stadium, Stadio Ezio Scida, allows for a decent crowd as it has a capacity of over 16,000 fans. During their history, they have participated in lower Italian competitions, having only secured promotion to the elite Serie A for the 2016/2017 season. They stayed in the league for the following year, but then followed their relegation to the second-tier Serie B.
