Sporting Clube de Braga, commonly known as SC Braga, is a prominent Portuguese football club based in Braga, Portugal. Founded on January 19, 1921, the team plays in the top tier of the Portuguese football system, the Primeira Liga. Known for their red and white colors, SC Braga is often referred to as "Os Arcebispos" (The Archbishops) due to Braga's status as an archiepiscopal seat or alternatively as "Os Guerreiros do Minho" (The Minho Warriors) after the historical province in which the city of Braga is located.
More about SC BragaThey are called De Buffalo's, after Buffalo Bill, who visited the club's grounds in the early 20th century. The club uses blue as its color. They also play home games in blue jerseys, and blue is also found in the club's emblem, which is dominated by an Indian head. The Ghelamco Arena serves as their sanctuary, offering a capacity of 20 000 spectators. The Belgian club originates from the city of Ghent, where it was founded in 1864. But back then it was still part of the gymnastic association, while football didn't start to be played here until much later, in 1900.
