Their nickname is The Clarets. Interestingly, this club has one of the largest fan bases in England in relation to the total population of the place they come from. That's the eponymous town of Burnley in Lancashire. We can get a good idea of this from the figures, with an average attendance per game of 20,000 people, in a city that has a population of around 70,000. It is certainly worth noting that the club's most famous supporter is Prince Charles. Former Libyan dictator Gaddafi was also a fan of the team.
More about Burnley FCLeeds United FC has been in existence since 1919, serving as a replacement for the now-defunct Leeds City FC, which had been in operation since 1904. Their home stadium is Elland Road with a capacity of over 37,000. This stadium is the second largest on the English scene outside of the Premier League. And a certain interesting fact, the east stand of this stadium has the longest domed roof in Europe at 52 metres.
