The vibrant colours of Senegal also feature on the national jerseys. They are called the Lions of Teranga and represent their country at international football events such as the World Cup and also the Africa Cup of Nations. The national team is part of the Senegalese Football Association, which was admitted to FIFA two years after its foundation, which occurred in 1960. Home national team matches are played at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor.
