The history of Modena FC dates back to 1912. A crucial point in the team's history is 2017, when they ran into major financial difficulties and had to close down. This was followed by the re-establishment of the team, but under the new name of Modena FC 2018. They play their home games at the Stadio Alberto Braglia with a capacity of over 21,000 fans.

Home games are played at the Stadio Benito Stirpe with a capacity of 16,227 spectators. The club was founded back in 1906, in the Lazio town of Frosinone. It was founded by the future mayor of that city, however the club only played friendly matches until 1923.
