The nicknames of this Italian football team include Irpini, Lupi (wolves) and Biancoverdi (green and white). They have a wolf's head in their emblem, so the club colours are of course green and white. At home they play in jerseys in various shades of green, while away they play in a combination of white and shades of grey. The home games are played at the Stadio Partenio with a capacity of 26,308 spectators. The club originates from the town of Avellino in Campania and its history dates back to 1912. Since then, however, it has suffered three bankruptcies and has been renamed many times, which is typical of many Italian sides.
