Chelsea FC

One of the most famous football clubs in the world at the moment. It is also the club that enjoys the widest support globally and have the sixth highest average attendance. They are nicknamed as The Blues or The Pensioners. The club colour is blue. The club is from the south-west London borough of Fulham. They are at home at Stamford Bridge stadium and its capacity is 41,631 seats.

The club has long-standing rivalries with other clubs from north London, this is particularly true of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. There is also the traditional West London derby, where Chelsea, Brentford, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers compete.

Milestones and club achievements

The club was founded in 1905 and appeared in the top flight in the 1907/08 season. It has been in the top flight since the 1989/90 season until today. It has therefore participated in the Premier League throughout its existence and has won a total of 5 titles from it, in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2015 and 2017. However, Chelsea have been champions 6 times in the top flight, with their first title dating back to 1955, back in the days of the original top flight format. Chelsea also have 8 FA Cup wins to their credit, for example. They won the Champions League in the 2012/11 season.

The club's success is closely related to the fact that the owner since 2003 is Roman Abramovich, a Russian businessman and billionaire who has allowed the club to invest heavily. Under his tenure, Chelsea is clearly the most unsuccessful club in its history. The most successful coach in the glorious era is José Mourinho. Other famous players include Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres or Petr Čech.
